In April I finally got the chance to get outside to climb on real rock in 2024. It was a late start to the midwest climbing season for me, but I’m grateful the regular climbing crew made the trip down to Robinson Bluff on a perfect Spring Missouri day.

On November 11th I had the chance to photograph the USA Climbing Youth Series Gateway Boulder Bash 2023 regional climbing competition at Upper Limits Chesterfield. It was an honor to capture these young climbers in their element.

Day 3 of our rock climbing trip to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in Arkansas was all about bouldering. We packed up camp in the morning and headed to the North Forty Boulders for some awesome midwest bouldering.

Spring has sprung at Robinson Bluff Climbing just outside of Tiff, Missouri. We headed down on a beautiful spring morning to climb several routes on the Picasso Wall just as the green of the leaves was really starting to pop.

Our third and final day climbing at Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas was spent entirely in The Black Corridor, mostly on the Upper Level. There are so many classic sport climbing routes in The Black Corridor we had a full day of amazing climbs.

Day 2 at Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas we climbed at The Gallery wall and “Las Vegas’s Outdoor Climbing Gym,” The Black Corridor - which features some of the most stunning sport climbing routes.

Photos from Day 1 of my three day rock climbing trip to Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas. Red Rock Canyon certainly lived up to its reputation as one of the best climbing destinations in Nevada, and the US.

My rock climbing journey began in February 2022 and the goal has always been to get outside on real rock. After 10 months of climbing at the gym roughly 2 days a week, top rope certification, lead rope certification, and making new climbing friends I was able to go rock climbing outside for the first time.
