Hiking Missouri
Hiking Videos and Trail Reviews of the beautiful Missouri Outdoors.
I started hiking in Missouri in 2020 and was blown away by all of the beautiful hiking trails Missouri has to offer.
The more I explore the Missouri outdoors the more realize just how many gems the Show Me State contains. In the hiking blogs posts below you’ll find Youtube hiking videos of each trail, history about the trails and the Missouri state parks their in, and trail reviews.

Hiking Devil’s Icebox and Sinkhole Trail at Rock Bridge Memorial State Park
Devil’s Icebox and Sinkhole Trail leads hikers through the park's most prominent features: Devil’s Icebox, Connor’s Cave, the many sinkholes that dot the park, and ultimately the namesake Rock Bridge. It’s not often a trail features two subterranean sections, but this trail does.
Hiking Post Oak and White Oak Trail at Mark Twain State Park
I'm still at Mark Twain State Park in Missouri, but this time I'm hiking Post Oak Trail and White Oak Trail which is a 2.7 mile loop trail that runs along the shoreline of Mark Twain Lake.
Castlewood State Park in Summer
The River Scene Trail at Castlewood State Park is the Missouri hiking trail with the best bluff views, even in Summer. And the fact that it is a hike close to Saint Louis is amazing.
Kid Friendly Elephant Rocks State Park in Missouri
Kid-friendly and ADA accessible Elephant Rocks State Park is the perfect Missouri State Park day trip. This wheelchair accessible MO state park offers lots of outdoor family activities from the picnic and playground areas to the giant elephant rocks to crawl around on and squeeze through.
Solo Hiking White Oaks Trail at Hawn State Park | Missouri
White Oaks Trail might not be the best trail at Hawn State Park but it forces you to slow down and appreciate the beauty in the small. Little wildflowers line White Oaks Trail and make this lollipop loop trail an introspective Missouri hiking trail.
Solo Hiking Pickle Creek Trail at Hawn State Park Missouri
I’m back at my favorite Missouri state park solo hiking Pickle Creek Trail in Hawn State Park. This is a lovely little Missouri hiking trail following Pickle Creek. AllTrails has it marked at 1.6 miles out and back, but I cross the creek and create a nice little loop trail.
