Solo Hiking White Oaks Trail at Hawn State Park | Missouri
I have officially hiked all the trails at Hawn State Park! White Oaks Trail might not be the best trail at Hawn State Park but it forces you to slow down and appreciate the beauty in the small. Little wildflowers line White Oaks Trail and make this lollipop loop trail an introspective Missouri hiking trail.

AllTrails calls this a moderate trail, but it’s really easy. Hikers of all skill levels can hike White Oaks Trail.
Best Hike at Hawn State Park?
That title in my opinion has to go to Whispering Pines North Loop Trail, but what White Oaks lacks in vistas or overlooks it makes up in the journey. Because there aren’t epic views grabbing your attention on White Oaks you are pulled into the small wonder and beauty of the nature of the Missouri outdoors. By the end of this 4 mile loop hike I was very calm, serene, and grateful for my time on the trail.
Wildflowers at Hawn State Park
According to AllTrails White Oaks Trail is known for it’s beautiful wildflowers. When I hiked the trail in early May there were a few lining the trail but they weren’t out in full force yet. Missouri State Parks has most of the wildflowers blooming in mid to late May so I may have been just a bit early. Different wildflowers bloom throughout the summer so anytime you go you’ll be sure to see at least a few petals.
